This gun is in the original hard wood and leather case with the original Westley Richards paper label. The gun features 28” barrels that were re-sleeved at the factory to shoot 2 ½” nitro powder shells The barrel markings which are seen in the pictures include; .7/9”, BNP, diamond 12, 2 ½”, 3 tons per square”, sleeved. WH is stamped on the barrel lug and forearm. The forearm was factory repaired on the left side where it was cracked at some point, but not broken. The stock has had a “Decelerator” pad added and the length of pull to the butt (not including spacer or pad) is 13 ½” from the front trigger to the center of the butt stock. The stock still has the remnant of the insert for the original buttplate and the wood shows beautiful color with great figure overall. The metal shows perfect wood to metal fit with no pitting or loss. Both the hammers and the barrel lever have strong color remaining with the side plates showing an overall silver/plumb patina. The bores in the barrels show only light use and remain bright and shiny in condition with some thinning blue overall. There are no records from the factory with this gun but it is obviously returned and re-fitted at the factory. The case has original snap caps, oilier and cleaning heads. The case shows some light to moderate wear overall and the entire piece will display very well in any collection. Sn# 12045 Antique No FFL Required.
