A very rarely seen Officer's visor cap. This is a wonderfully made cap for a TENO official. It is a heavy wool with bullion embroidered edgings, eagle, etc. The outer sweatband is black velvet. The top trim is silver with a thin line of black repeating itself in a wave pattern. The eagle and wreath are of a very heavy bullion in beautiful condition. The center cockade is silvered brass. The inner sweatband is leather marked "Erel Stirnschutz", and the lining is a golden satin. The label under the sweatpanel consists of the TENO eagle over "Nach Forschrift, Reichsamt Technische Nothilfe" all over an "Erel Sonderklasse" diamond. The only wear point I see appears to be an earlier break in the sweat band framework within one side. There is a slight bunching of the outer velvet at that point just below a short line of hand stitching, just under the bell of the hat. Does not detract from the hat's overall appearance. Actually a much scarcer hat than the SS visor. A must for the collector.
