This box is the model 1873 box of ammunition produced for the model 1873 rifle and has the carbine pictured on the side label . The shells are all correct with light corrosion to the lead. The box was evenly cut on the side labels with one label still sealed to view the cartridges. The box shows light soiling to the top label remains in very clean original condition with one small seam split to one end panel. This style box is highly sought after and has very nice green color. The box appears on page 67 of "One Hundred Years of Winchester Cartridge Boxes".
