This is a carved war club featuring a rattle snake head with an iron trade point in the bottom of the ball. The shaft is burn decorated and vegetable tinted to look like an actual rattle snake. The handle leather stitched wrapped grip with a brass and white bead drop which represents the rattle snake’s rattle tip. This is an extremely rare item as most of the Crow Nation was killed during the Indian wars. This piece dates circa 1850’s. Native Americana is a subjective field and as such we do not guarantee the dates given to each item nor do we guarantee that each item appears now as it did when created as most Native American artifacts were added to or detracted from during their history.
