Hunter Arms Co. "The Fulton" 12 Gauge Double Barrel Shotgun, Hammerless, S/N 142164, Used. FFL Required.
Hunter Arms Company was the successor to the L.C. Smith Company. Barrels are 26" long and are blued. There is some spotty discoloration on both barrels near the muzzle, and some light scratches on the sides of the barrels and on the underside. The top of the right barrel is stamped The Fulton, and the top of the left barrel is stamped Hunter Arms Co. Inc. Mfgrs Fulton, N.Y., U.S.A. Bores are bright and shiny. The receiver and breakdown lever are color case hardened with the color being at about 100%. The sides of the receiver are stamped Fulton with some simple scrollwork. The serial number on the flat of the receiver where the barrels attach has an F preceding 142164. Double triggers, box lock.
Fine walnut buttstock with half pistol grip that has checkering. All of the original finish remains on the buttstock, and there are some light dings and scratches, and no cracks or chips out. Black plastic buttplate has a few light dings and scratches but no cracks or chips out. Fine walnut forearm also with checkering, and all of the original finish remaining with some light dings and a couple of scratches.
Overall a very beautiful shotgun. Condition Very Good Plus. FFL Required.
