Ruger Single-Six .22 Caliber, Old Model 3-Screw, 6-1/2" Barrel, Blued, Made Between 1962-1972. Serial Number 454593. FFL Required.
6-1/2" round barrel, excellent bore that is bright and shiny. 6-shot cylinder numbered to the pistol with the last 3 digits of the serial number being pen engraved onto the front face of the cylinder around the pin hole, as is proper for this model. The frame, barrel, and cylinder are all blued steel. The grip frame is the black anodized type, the ejector rod housing is aluminum alloy, and the walnut grips are the oil filled type. Fixed sights. The bluing is in remarkable condition with some very slight wear on the sides of the muzzle and a couple of very light scratches near the muzzle. There are a couple of tiny spots of surface rust on the left side of the front sight. The back edge of the front sight is grooved to reduce glare. The black anodized grip grame has a few pinprick spots on the bottom strap. The pistol's action is smooth and crisp. The cylinder has a light ring around the exterior from the cylinder being indexed. One notable feature of this early Single-Six Old Model Ruger is that there is no hammer block safety as is on the later models still in production today, which meant that this pistol should always be carried with an empty chamber under the hammer.
An outstanding pistol in every respect. Condition Excellent. FFL Required.
