Colt Model 1911 US Army .45 Auto Pistol, Mfgd. 1918, Blued, With 1 Magazine. Serial Number 462661. FFL Required.
Has a decent bore that is gray with some light roughness in the grooves. Finish on the slide and frame is a slightly uneven medium to dark gray, with some spotty light pitting here and there. The trigger, hammer, slide stop, safety, and grip safety are blue and still retain a good deal of the original finish. The magazine does not appear to be original to the pistol and is unmarked, with about 2/3 of it being blued and the top 1/3 being left bright. The magazine has some spotty surface rust. Has the lanyard loop on the bottom of the grip. Original checkered walnut grips, showing wear and handling with scratches and dings. The left grip has "TUB" carved into it. Pistol functions smoothly and flawlessly. Left side of the slide is marked in 2 lines: Patented Apr. 20, 1897. Sept. 9, 1902 Colt's PT. F.A. MFG. Co. / Dec. 19, 1905. Feb. 14, 1911 Hartford, CT. U.S.A. , with the Rampant Colt logo in the middle. Right side of the slide is marked: Model Of 1911 U.S. Army. The serial number is marked on the right side of the frame and is No. 462661. Appears that "United States Property" was never stamped onto this pistol.
Condition Good Plus. FFL Required.
