Early J.P. Sauer & Son Model 1913 Semi-Auto Pistol, 7.65mm Auto Caliber, With Original Holster.  Serial Number 38619.  FFL or C&R Required.

3" barrel, with decent bore that is gray with a bit of wear in the grooves.  Blued originally with about 15% - 20% of the finish remaining.  The pistol is mostly an uneven medium to dark gray patina now, with scratches and light dings.  Has some light pitting on the end of the barrel and front of the slide and a bit also scattered overall.  Left side of the slide is marked PATENT.  Right side of the slide is marked CAL. 7.65.  Left side of the frame just above the grip is marked 38619.  The back face of the cocking pull knob and the right side of the frame just above and behind the trigger both have the Crown N German proofmark.  This is an earlier version without the additional safety feature.  Includes one 7-round magazine which is unmarked and appears to be original to the pistol.  This pistol is not military marked but these were still a very popular sidearm among officers and NCO's of the German military forces and were privately purchased if not supplied thru official sources.

Also included is the original brown leather holster with full front flap and extra magazine pouch.  The leather still very supple with some dark spots from handling and use.  All the stitching is sound and solid except for around the plug at the bottom where the stitching has dry rotted and come loose.  Has a single leather belt loop on the back.  Written on the back is "Sgt. Houghtalin" which is faint but legible.

Overall Condition Good Plus.  FFL or C&R Required.
