<P style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt" class=MsoNormal>Remington targeted the young boys market with their .22 caliber Model 6 falling block rifle, which was produced in the period 1902-1933.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </SPAN>This specimen, serial number 507036, shoots .22 short, long, and long rifle ammo.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </SPAN>The bore on the 24” barrel is bright and shiny.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </SPAN>The action is tight and crisp and the hammer holds solidly at half and full cock.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </SPAN>The barrel finish has a gray/brown patina, with much of the original bluing gone.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </SPAN>The receiver has a uniform brown appearance.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </SPAN>The color case hardening on the breech block is vivid, while the hammer’s case hardening has darkened.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </SPAN>A heavy coat of varnish was added to the wood.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </SPAN>There is a tight 3” crack on the right front side of the butt stock that starts at the rear of the receiver and extends back.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </SPAN>All in all, a nice example of an old starter rifle for boys in the pre WW2 era.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp; </SPAN>FFL required.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </SPAN></P> <P style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt" class=MsoNormal><o:p>&nbsp;</o:p></P> <P style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt" class=MsoNormal><o:p>&nbsp;</o:p></P> <P style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt" class=MsoNormal>&nbsp;</P>
