Savage made their clever Model 101 .22 pistol in the 1960-1968 period. It looks just like a single action revolver but is actually a single shot. The gun is operated by swinging the one piece barrel and non rotating cylinder unit out to the right, which reveals the one working chamber that takes .22 long rifle ammo. After the gun is fired, the barrel/cylinder unit is again opened and the fired case is pushed out by the ejector rod. This specimen is in excellent condition. All of the metal finish is intact and the wood grips are pristine. The gun looks like it has seen very little use and it functions properly in dry operation. Serial number is 46997. FFL required.
