Colt 2nd Generation "F" Series 1861 Navy Revolver, Blued, .36 Caliber, SN 40015, With Orig. Box & Papers, Circa 1981. These were made 1981-1982 with only about 3200 being produced and are highly collectible now. This one is "as new" in the original box with both the original brochures and the Colt Blackpowder lapel pin (1/20 10K Goldfilled) that came with it. Cylinder has been indexed and shows a slight dragline at each of the cylinder stops. Beautiful walnut grip with silver plated trigger guard and backstrap. Marked Colts Patent on the left side of the frame, and is marked 36 Cal on the left side of the silver plated trigger guard/backstrap. Serial number 40015 is located on the side of the cylinder, on the underside of the frame next to where the barrel assembly attaches, on the underside of the barrel assembly next to where it attaches to the frame, and on the bottom of the grip on the backstrap. This model of Navy pistol has the flat side cylinder with the Navy scene roll engraved on. No issues whatsoever, but would have to rate at 98-99% because of the cylinder having been indexed and leaving the dragline. The original box has some very light shelf and storage wear, and the foam inserts inside are perfect. The side label on the box matches the box to the pistol. Condition Excellent.
