Remington made their .22 caliber Model No. 4S military rolling block rifle for only ten years, starting in 1913. They made the rare "Boy Scout Rifle" variation of this model only in the first year. This specimen is complete, except for the screw that holds the forend in place. The action is tight and crisp and the sights are original. The metal shows a smooth blue-gray patina. The wood is solid and intact, although it may have been taken down lightly. The bore is dark and pitted. This seldom seen variation of a classic small frame rolling block will make a fine addition to any serious Remington rolling block collection. FFL required.
