Antique Early Patch Knife, With Heavy Walnut Handle & 2 Old Paper Tags, Original, Revolutionary War Era. 7-1/4" overall length, with a 2-1/2" blade. The blade is set into a heavy walnut grip, and there are 2 old paper labels applied on the wood grip which read " Early Patch Knife displayed In The Ohio Historical Society Bi-Centennial", and " See Kravic & Neumann P. 173 - #17". The blade is set into the handle with a long tang that is visible at the end of the grip, and there is an iron retaining band around the top of the handle to prevent splitting of the wood. The blade and band are very dark with old surface rust and some pitting. The wood grip has some scratches and dings and some staining, but no cracks or chips. Condition Very Good.
