<P>Vintage Sakura Fly Fishing Bamboo Rod, In Original Wood Box With Tackle, Used, Circa Late 1940's. Made in Japan after WWII. Cork based handle with 3 sections of rod to form an 8' long rod. Includes one extra rod section that is 31" long taht is used as a small bait casting rod. Comes in its origina bamboo wood box, with sliding lids on the inside of the top which open to reveal fishing hooks, flies, silk gut fishing line, and floats. The rod sections have no splits and all of the wrappings around the line guides are fine, and all of the nickel plated brass fitting are still bright. The box has soiling and is a bit warped in places but has no cracks or chips. One of the brass hasps on the front of the box is missing a piece. Overall Condition Very Good Minus.</P> <P> </P>
