<P>Antique London Gun Co. 12 Gauge Double Barrel Shotgun, Fine Damascus, Engraved, Used.&nbsp;&nbsp;Circa 1890.&nbsp; Serial Number 68396.&nbsp; FFL Required.</P> <P>32" barrels, bores are gray to dark with a lot of wear near the chambers.&nbsp; Both barrels on the underside have blackpowder proof marks and both are marked as full choke.&nbsp; Barrels have a full rib on the top that is entirely knurled, with a silver bead front sight, and the rib is marked "Fine Damascus".&nbsp; The finish on the barrels is an uneven plum brown that is worn thin on the underside which allows the twist of the damascus to be seen.&nbsp; Both barrels have spotty surface rust toward the chamber end and some light pitting.&nbsp; Receiver, hammers, side plates, tang, and barrel release lever all a light gray patina with some spotty surface rust.&nbsp; The triggers and triggerguard are gray with surface rust.&nbsp; The receiver, hammers, side plates, tang, barrel release lever, and triggerguard all engraved.&nbsp; The side plates are marked London Gun Co.&nbsp; </P> <P>The walnut buttstock has a scalloped horn cap on the pistol grip and a&nbsp;checkered horn buttplate.&nbsp; The buttplate shows a lot of wear and use and has chips and holes.&nbsp; The&nbsp;grip cap has some small holes.&nbsp; The pistol grip and wrist of the buttstock are checkered, which is still fairly crisp with some slight wear and dings.&nbsp; Most of the original finish remains on the buttstock, and it has some scratches and dings but no cracks or chips.&nbsp; There is an oval silver inlay on the bottom of the buttstock.&nbsp; Checkered walnut forearm with metal fittings that have matching engraving and are an uneven dark gray patina with spotty surface rust.&nbsp; Most of the original finish remains on the forearm and there are some light scratches and dings, but no cracks or chips.&nbsp; </P> <P>There is some wiggle between the barrels and the receiver when the shotgun is fully assembled.&nbsp; Nice shotgun "as-is," or worthy of a restoration project.&nbsp; Condition Very Good Minus.&nbsp; No FFL Required.&nbsp;</P>
